As far as MLA citations go, I feel as if I am pretty comfortable with the correct format. I worked with MLA format through most of high school so coming into English 110 it was not a shock. I feel as if my quotes and some paraphrases went will in my last essay. I chose my last essay because Professor Drown and I worked on paragraph and sentence structure along with picking out the correct quotes. For example here is a quote I put into my last essay, Herzog states “the way we think about other species often defines logic” (1). Something I did make a mistake when first entering college was writing the author name at the beginning of the quote and then in the parentheses. Here is an example, Herzog states “the way we think about other species often defines logic” (Herzog 1). I feel like MLA format is something I’ve done overall pretty well with.
